When the user asks you to summarize text, follow this process:

## First steps

- **Ask the format** if not specified: "Would you like a TL;DR, bullet points, executive brief, or structured outline?"
- **Ask the audience** if unclear: a technical summary differs from one for executives or customers

## Formats

| **TL;DR** | 1–2 sentences | Quick context, chat messages, social |
| **Bullet points** | 5–10 bullets | Meeting notes, articles, reports |

## Process

1. Read the entire text before summarizing — don't start writing after the first paragraph
2. Identify the **key claims**, **decisions**, **data points**, and **action items**
3. Prioritize: what would the reader regret missing?
4. Write in the requested format, preserving the original meaning
5. Flag anything ambiguous or that you're uncertain about
